Had been living and working as a teacher in South Korea for the past year, so filing taxes this year with a not unusual, but still outside the everyday tax situation. Wanted to not deal with a home tax software, and hire a local professional I can keep coming to. I had filed an extension. I was referred here, so I set an appointment explaining the whole situation last week. I walked in today, and the older guy I met with didn't even greet my wife whom I introduced. I brought all my documents, and explained what forms and exemptions we needed to properly file (I did some research), and the guy just sat there head on fist just saying "hmm, I don't know." He made a half-assed YAHOO search on "South Korean Tax Treaties." Still said he didn't know what to do. He didn't do any real research, didn't ask colleagues, and gave zero effort. We were there five minutes after he gave up. We went home, and gave turbotax, by myself, a try, and an hour later, taxes done.
I love using family owned and operated businesses and I love using Kristel's Accounting. Everyone there is so nice :)
I have used Kristel's accounting for over 25 years for my business and personal needs. As a business owner you have to wear a lot of hats everyday and wearing a lot of hats makes your head hurt after a while. Using Kristel's for all my payroll and tax preparation gives me relief from wearing one more hat in the day.
Unprofessional, incompetent, dismissive of women, and lazy. I promise, you with turbotax or something will do way better than this place.
I understand difficult situations or not having the resources or know how, but where was the effort or attempt to figure things out? Laziness.
