Very open and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back!

This church is welcoming, anti-racist and non-dogmatic. It provides a forum for thoughtful progress on one's personal spiritual journey outside the boundaries of, and with appreciation for, a variety of denominations and belief systems.

Welcoming community. A little too much music? But overall a thoughtful service and great people.

This was the second UU church that I've visited. I've heard from many people that All Souls is a large church with many people, and I love to meet new people and connect with a community, that's what I've been searching for, I've been searching for a community to connect with, a spiritual home with a open heart and open mind. Today I came here with my Jewish boyfriend, I am a New Age Pagan. The first member of the UU Church that approached us immediately saw me and my boyfriend together (we are an interracial couple), and he gave us a strange look and said "As a long time member of this church, I know you two don't belong here, you should try another church" Service had not even began yet and this guy was pushing us away. I wanted to keep a positive mindset and I decided to go to service anyway and to stay after for coffee to talk with other church members to get a good feel of the church. I almost felt like I was at a Christian Church because the sermon continually talked about Jesus and the bible, which I thought was odd, but okay. After the service was over, my boyfriend and I got coffee and began chatting with different church members, and after being asked what my religious beliefs are and letting them know I was a New Age Pagan, I was immediately told by other All Souls church members "We don't think this is the church for you, your kind doesn't fit in here" wow, I was totally baffled and shocked of how mean and unwelcoming the people were at this church. I thank the gods that this WAS NOT my first UU experience. The first UU church that I ever visited was a great UU church filled with love and acceptance. The only reason I wanted to give this All Souls UU church a try was because people told me it was larger and more social, and as an extrovert that appealed to me. I will go back to a UU church, but it will not be this one.

Open, inclusive, free thinking congregation, welcomes all who seek to develop their individual religious theology that stresses the interconnectedness of all living things, respect for your environment and fellow human beings.
