It's small, but it is an entertaining piece of Indiana history. If you have about 15-30 minutes, you could go through the whole thing. There are displays of cars, different uniforms from over the years, a memorial to officers felled in the line of duty, and various other things such as the drunkometer (pictured) and various weapons used by the police over the years. The nice detail is that it's a free thing to do as well.
Shout out to the officer who stopped on 465S before the 56th ST/Shadeland on Wed evening to push my truck to a safe area off the shoulder of the interstate. My kids were with me and you could see I was scared being so close to traffic. Thank you for making us feel safe.
Awesome place with alot of history
Everyone should go to this site. Great history of the Indiana State Police. It's free, good selection of gifts.
Very disappointed, took my grandsons, they were really excited to go even wore their officer tee shirts, however, never got to talk to an officer, sit in the police car , and had to ask for a police sticker! Not for ages 3 or 5years! It could have been set up better.
