Was waiting on some important medical papers to arrive via signature required envelope. Was at home, but no one showed up, then when I went to check the mail, there is an orange slip stating that an attempt was made to deliver and to contact the post office for redelivery. I went online and entered the information for redelivery, but it still wasn't redelivered. I called the post office and was told that it would be a 1.5 hour wait. What has happened to our postal system? I feel like I'm in a third world country right now...Pony Express was faster. Still haven't received my envelope and it's not something that can be reconstituted...

In the Past: Also the people at the post office have called me a dumb ass before just for asking if they had any flat rate padded envelopes 2 months ago when I came in.

I don't even want to give one star. I went in to ask where my envelope was because it showed as delivered. They told me the supervisor would call me the next day. Three days later I called since not receiving a call and was on hold for 33 min and then drove in there on hold just before they closed. They got back on the phone when they found out I was now in the lobby. I've got the feeling they hoped the end of the day would come before they had to handle this. Took repeated phone calls/visits to get answers. Every time they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about and have to explain what happen. Was told it was probably stolen until found out they delivered to wrong address. She gave me the address and told me to go get it myself. She told me both addresses had the word River in them so that's why it happen. Even though the numbers aren't the same and none of the other words. She tried to pass me off on to other managers who just directed me back to her. It must be real nice having a monopoly on mail delivery and able to tell people to go fix our mistake for us. The lack of professionalism and accountability is shocking. I will gladly pay for ups/fedex shipping any chance I can for now on. If I could cancel all mail from usps I would. A year ago I had a pair of shoes that the driver put a vacation hold on because they didn't want to walk them to the door. Thankfully I had a tracking number and called the office. They blamed it on me even though I was receiving all my other mail. I have never put a vacation hold on my mail. The service and management at some locations is a joke. There is no way the usps would be in business if there was another mail delivery option. I see my complaints are warranted since I'm not the only one having these problems.

Today: "Sorry we missed you! Delivery attempt notified" yet here I am, watching as the mailman NEVER got out of his truck, left the notice in the mail-box, and DROVE AWAY!

Some of the kindest, most helpful people work the Business Mail Entry Unit here. I daresay I left in a better mood than when I came in!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS P/O AT ALL COSTS

When waiting in line, put your phone away, be patient, and strike up a conversation with the strangers around you.

The United States Postal Service is a treasured relic from times gone by. Just visiting to buy stamps brings me back to what I imagine my grandparents might call "a simpler time." I strongly suspect that all the one star reviews are from people who had bad attitudes about the post office.

If my usual mail man doesn't deliver my package, there's always a problem. And of course whenever I go to the post office they never know the status of my package. Forget about calling because there is always a 45 minute or more wait time and sometimes the call will drop. I also get false package delivered notifications, I usually have to call to have the package redelivered for it to actually be delivered. All time sad service.
