I've been going to Grindstone Charley's for years, but this was my first visit in a while. I'll be coming back!!
Dinner was fine service was good. The wife was not happy with the cottage cheese she ordered. Drinks was hood. We both felt it was way over priced.
The kitchen was understaffed, 25 minute wait to get a table even though there were empty tables. Waited much longer to get food. GF's salad came after the entree and had brown spots on the lettuce. Waitress was decent, but didn't take away empty glasses or the empty salad plate. Will not visit again.
Five star visit. Something on the menu for every one. Fried Green Tomatoes are delicious as an appetizer, and I even sprang for some cheesecake for dessert. Had the sirloin with fries and a cup of french onion soup. Even with the appetizer and a soda, I thought the prices were reasonable, and there was no reason to even wash the plates I used because I cleaned them up completely. Very delicious meal and friendly service. The manager checked on me, too. Delicious.
The food is always good. We like being able to get a table right away. It's not crowded like all the other places around. This has always been a favorite place for us for special occasions as well as dinner for 2.
Had prime rib with baked potatoe and grilled asparagus, not bad, asparagus not real good choice salty and to thin had to eat with fingers couldn't stab with fork.
