For a dinner that cost $80 + tip, I would think that the service would be a little more professional.
My ABSOLUTE favorite place to go! Reminds me so much of home (Miami). Love LOVE LOVE this place!!
We will NOT be returning to this restaurant. When dining out, I feel that we are paying not only for good food, but also a good atmosphere and good service... and the service is what brings this restaurant down. (I'd read the previous reviews and decided to try it anyway because everyone has their own experiences... but they were spot on as far as all the issues we experienced). I would rather spend my money at a restaurant with mediocre food but great service than to spend my money at a restaurant with great food and horrible service - Spend your hard earned money at another restaurant.
Food is great. Me and wife go there when we feel when in the mood for Latin food. Being Puerto Rican I need it a lot. Service is fine. I’ve not had any issues at location..
The first time I came here, the lady thought i just need a bathroom to use so she was very rude to me. We wanted to eat there, I just need to use the bathroom as soon as we got in.
Our family of five went to Havana Cafe on Monday evening. I will start with the good... Three of us had the cuban sandwich and enjoyed it... wish it had had more meat, but it was a good sandwich. I honestly don't remember the names of the other entree's we had, but they were good too. That being said, the reason I gave this restaurant 1 star is that the service was horrible. Upon receiving our food (which took much longer than we felt should have taken) we asked for silverware and napkins.... Ten minutes later, we had to flag down the server (we were only 1 of two customers in the restaurant) and literally beg for silverware and napkins. For five people, she brought two sets of silverware and 4 thin little napkins (not much bigger than those at Dairy Queen). We had to beg for more so my son could eat his soup... He never got silverware and ended up sharing mine. My mother in law asked several times for sugar packets and she never received those either. When we were finished eating, another lady came by to see if we wanted dessert... we decided to try the coconut flan.. I asked that she bring five spoons so we all could have a taste of it. She brought back 4 spoons (and had already cleared the table of our dishes) so we had to share spoons for dessert too.
After we ordered food she apologized. Not cool, be nice to your visitors.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We were only disappointed they were out of rice pudding.
