I agree with the person who made the claims about renters. You stand no chance ever winning a case when it comes to a property management company or landlord. It would be nice to see statistics on those cases. I sit and watched every ruling go to the property company and when I was called for my case I didn't even get to present the the stacks and stacks of evidence I had. Seems you can only buy as much justice as you have the money for. So if you're a struggling single parent who works hard and doesn't want your kids living somewhere unsafe while constantly being lied to and taken advantage of by the management, then be prepared to endure more struggles because this court doesn't give a damn! You will always be held accountable - but never them.

With the renter situation Oh yes ! My first apartment was at Autumn Trails Apartments and there was a wild animal, a baby possum ,that was freely coming in and out of my apartment because of a hole that was not properly sealed under neath the kitchen sink. Thank God !!!! He protected me because a wild animal can do anything and they say possums are known to attack people. I had the board of health come out and they issued a paper to them stating that there was a rodent infestation and to fill the hole and clean the apt. Took them to court because for about three months the apt. Was. Inhabitable and the Judge ruled in their favor because he said they did all they could do.If they had came in and checked the place properly there would have never been a hole under the sink. The judge talked with lawyer as if he was a buddy and then Judge and lawyer laughed at me saying something like " That must have been one crazy possum. "
The judge, bailiffs, trustees and all other workers in this community have been building biased friendships. When us paying renters come in, we have no chance at winning the case because to them, we are just another case number. They addressed my slumlord by first name which means they had a personal relationship. They set court dates and even if you give them the updated address, will rule against you and insist they sent the letter to both parties. If you then appeal, due to the relationship with the landlord they.rule in their favor anyway. Of course they don't make the decision at the courthouse they review, and send a judgment letter. That you never received and they insist they sent to you.
