The Indianapolis Museum of Art was amazing! With four floors to explore, I suggest coming well rested and perhaps with some coffee. I really enjoyed the modern art and the Picasso pieces. There is also a garden area to explore but it was too cold when I went. There were lots of friendly docents around to answer questions or provide more information about pieces. Also, plenty of places to sit down to rest or to spend time looking at a piece.
Amazing art. The Asian collection was really good. Lots of horse statues. Also an interactive exhibit for visitors to try their hand making Chinese letters. I also enjoyed the modern art selection, which has a nice variety of pieces.
Great smaller art museum with amazing sculpture garden and local artist mini golf in the summer months. I always feel like they try to engage children in all of their special exhibits - with crafts or online engagement in the gallery. This is especially important to me as a parent and art lover - engaging the youngest so they will learn to love art. I always enjoy the peacefulness of this museum. The forest and garden setting is beautiful.
Checked out the Winter Lights exhibit and it was beautifully done! Smooth in, walk and out. I enjoyed the experience with our group. I congratulate all the hard work and very intricate work done with the lights.
Awesome museum. Great art. Cool place. Great grounds. Was so much better when it was free. Wish they would go back to that or at least lower the prices to make it more affordable. Worth going once/year based on their current pricing model.
