Owner is a jerk
Had some parts painted here and I trusted the internet to make sure the parts would fit. It didn't but Bud made it work and got me done in time for my trip. Great place that I plan to use in future projects
We had bought a stash dash as a birthday gift for a friend and it didn't fit properly or line up. We have tried a number of times to call and IF we are able to leave a message they don't return our calls. This is very frustrating as we have spent a great deal of money on this item and just want it to fit so he can use it. I am not sure what else to do to in order to get a hold of some one at Henley's. I am very angry at the lack of customer support.
I called Bud in Dec 2013 to paint several parts of my motorcycle. When I dropped off the parts, I spent some time discussing the details, such as holes I needed filled, etc. Bud did not write anything down. He asked his daughter to give an invoice. It said, Paint Street Glide parts $1250. When I returned to pick up the parts, the holes were not filled as requested, so he agreed to fix it. I noticed a bad spot on my rear fender and brought it right back, thinking he could re spray with the other item. When I showed Bud, he said I was being picky. After I insisted he agreed to repaint it but he yelled at me and threw the part down. That is the last time I saw Bud. After that, his daughter would get the parts for me from the back.. After one week of riding, the paint is peeling on the rear fender filler he did for me. I called the office to inquire about having it redone, there was no answer. I called again, no answer. I thought it was strange, so I asked my friend to call them. He said they answered. He said it was the daughter. I called back. Again, no answer. I left a message. It has been two days, and no call back. I was not expecting one. So, this is how they do business. Bud obviously does not need me. If he does not need me, then he doesn't need you either. Most of his business is selling parts on the internet and ebay etc. Good Luck if you use him!
I've got nothing but good things to say about this place. It was difficult dropping my parts off to be painted with the previous experience I had with a non professional, but boy am I glad I did. Bud is old school, and works his butt off. I dropped my old school Honda parts off 3/23/10, and they were finished and ready to be picked up 4/18/10. I frequently received calls about the updates on my project, and Bud allowed me to take pictures of the process (I document everything) and I was grateful for that. I showed him a picture of what I wanted done, and everything came out fantastic, just as I wanted it. He takes pride in his work, and it shows. If you have any doubts, give him a call. I have already recommended him to friends of mine who have any paint work to be done. I will be a return customer most definitely!
