Kurt and Kate Flock are both creeps - stay away from them! Don't use them to buy or sell real estate and definitely don't rent their apartments from them! They own two buildings on 13th and Alabama where they rent out apartments. As a landlord, Kurt thinks knocking on your door is reasonable notice to enter your apartment!!! I can't tell you how many times he entered our apartment when me or my wife were in the shower or sleeping. He made sexual advances toward my wife and often made inappropriate comments - STAY AWAY FROM FLOCK REALTY!!!!!!!
Kate Flock represented us and is one the sweetest/nicest people I’ve ever worked with in real estate (but not too nice, she was looking out for us!). Kurt also helped us out greatly, much appreciated.
This agency has ALOT to learn about gentrification. This ad is in very poor taste and puts down the residents that currently live in this area. Basically stating the current residents are unsavory.
As someone who was employed by this company years ago, my experience is that all the comments that have been made about the Flock's are 110% accurate, such a hostile work environment. I think it is important for everyone to know that the owners Kurt and Kate Flock have total control of what is printed in the Urban Times. Kurt/Kate use this as their soap box for their own political benefit. I will tell you that if you speak to any past employee of Flock's, you will be shocked at some of the comments that have been made by him to his team and the number of tears that have been shed. Unprofessional and sexist and even belittling name calling. They truly are horrible people and several of us past agents stay in contact and discuss how unfair it was of them to treat us this way and how thankful we all are to be gone and elsewhere... So, if you know any past employees, just ask, they will confirm... Just look at their web site too, and you will see just the two of them over the past several months. Wonder why that is this is, if they are so great, new agents should be beating down their doors to work for them?? You can also check with past tenants of their rentals and realtors who they have done past deals with, they avoid them and don't want to show their homes to buyers due to the way they treat others - This recent/past article in Urban Times shows how they truly feel about people and past employees, they are put into catagories and not showcased for who they truly are, human beings. C-O-M-P-A-S-S-I-O-N is NOT in their vocabulary! This is not me crying wolf, none of this would ever have come out till this recent add and controversy, but I felt their lies must not continue and for those who believe them, I am sorry! None of us wanted to believe it either.. Many GREAT Realtors out there that truly CARE.
I’d give 0, but need to give a review in order to let the public know how racist this realty group is. Their ad campaigns are nothing short of xenophobic (reciting how apartment living has smells of ‘cumin, curry and oregano’ in the halls due to neighbors). I have photos to show their ads (which they are conveniently removing/deleting given the uproar) if anyone is interested. Stay far far away from these people. Indy does not NEED or WANT them. Indy loves culture and diversity. Don’t let them fool you!
