Because I used to go there

Completely terrible and I went there as a child so I thought it'd be great. The staff will make it seem as if they care about your child's education. Results show that they don't. They're not advanced or top notch in teaching. The programs in Pike townships schools are no better than anywhere else. So if you're coming from Washington Township or anywhere else, prepare to hear that your child is failing. We left Washington Township. My two children were entering 2nd grade. Coming to the school, they were caught up and where they needed to be. During a conference, they tried to convince me that my children were still at a kindergarten level. -- For 3rd grade, my son, who is high functioning autistic, has not received the help he needs in order to succeed. He's been in a regular classroom not understanding any of the material. I'm expecting his therapists to help me with him. They've gone to get the education to work with special needs kids. These people haven't done a thing for him for 3rd grade. 2nd grade, they did the bare minimum because I worked evenings and could be at the school all the time. My daughter has a slight learning disability that was fixed in tutoring. I've requested this for her a few times. Nothing happened. Breaking my neck and pockets to keep my kids educated and caught up, and the teachers are failing them. A bit more frustrating, they're failing them in subjects that I never see homework or study materials for. So I can't help them in science to get that F up. I understand that you work in a field where you're underpaid, but don't take your low paycheck issues out on how you're treating and educating my children. Especially if they have special needs. And the blond at the front desk is prejudice against Latinos and mostly blacks. I've called and had to complain about her several times because she's given me attitude the second I've walked through the door, as well as my mother, and brother. We all attempt to be polite with her, but she's constantly talking down to us when we walk in the door. And it's not just us she does this to. She's made the experience of having my children at that school a lot worse. My family is black, and we're also Latino. I feel like she doesn't want another black or Latino family at that school, even though it's the majority of the population. She didn't have an issue with me over the phone when she thought I was white. It was when she saw me in person where we started having issues. You're better off home schooling your child through K12. I'm pulling my children from that school because they can get a better education elsewhere.
