This location is almost empty. There aren't very many stores available. The building itself seems to be in disrepair everywhere. It resembles a swap meet or flea market, if you will, more than a mall. They need more security as the detectors at the door were constantly being tripped. I witnessed 2 incidents of people being chased out of Target by security personnel in the few minutes it took for my husband to get the car and come to the entrance. I definitely wouldn't want my kids shopping there alone.
It's weird, because it's not a terrible place. And people there are super nice. But something about this mall gives me the felling that the world ended in a nuclear apocalypse. It definitely need some up keep.
This once great mall is the worst mall in Indiana. I don't know why it's still open. It's 35+ years old and to my knowledge never been renovated or updated. Largest stores are Target and Ducks Sporting Goods. No high end well known specialty shops. Remaining stores are never heard of age and/or ethnicity specific. Unless you're shopping at Target or Ducks don't waste your time. Go to Hamilton Center, Greenwood, Castleton or the Keystone.
Its an extremely beautiful building, however there are hardly any stores at all for a mall...Also I was there mid week and middle of the day some stores were closing up and not reopening, barely any food places insiden. Just not good. Great customer service, but still a ghost town.
The mall looks seriously run down but I go for Bath & Body Works and Target. It's never crowded which is the part I love! More quality stores need to be added so the mall can get full of life! The mall needs to be revitalized.
