I booked a tour for a Saturday at 11:45am. Around 10:30am on that day, I received an email that the tour was canceled, without explanation. I called and they stated that the bus wasn't full enough so they canceled the tour. When I asked if we could transfer my tickets, they said no - everything else was canceled. They did not try to schedule me for the next day or anything. So - I then went to their competitor and bought 2 tickets for the 12:30pm and it was an absolute blast. Brewery Tours of Indianapolis had poor customer service.
Freaking awesome time! Chuck, our driver was so great. We were running late, since we are from St. Louis and I forgot about the time change, so they let us meet them at the first stop since it was a very small group that day. Which made my day, since it was a Christmas present for my husband. Highly recommend. The bus is super sweet and spacious.
Booked a tour the night before and were told our cards would only be charged if enough people signed up. We never received any confirmation, we tried calling their office but it was closed on the day of (a Sunday). We decided to show up to the pickup location anyway and met another group that was waiting. 10 minutes after the pickup time, with no tour vehicle in sight we set off on our own to find breweries.
This was so much fun! My boyfriend and I are from out of town and we wanted to explore the local breweries, and this one was the cheapest one from my research. It did not disappoint! Our driver, Chuck, was awesome. We went to Metazoa, Bier Brewery, Round Town Brewery, and Two Deep Brewing. The only thing that I think would improve the experience is to provide more samples (the website said 15-20 samples total were included but we only received about 2 from each brewery) and to perhaps limit the tour to 3 breweries and give us more time at each. A half hour didn't seem like enough time. By the time we had our introduction, tasted our samples, and figured out which beers we wanted in our flight, we had about 10-15 minutes to drink our flight. Otherwise, fantastic experience. I will recommend this company to others!
My tour was scheduled (weeks ago) for August 19 at noon. At 530pm August 18 I get an email saying that the tour has been cancelled. No explanation. Nothing. I call and it is stated that the bus is broken down and irreparable by August 19 but my money will be refunded. I totally understand mechanical issues and this being something that cannot be helped. However, I am highly frustrated that all I received was an email. It would have been much more considerate to call each booking and give them a heads up since it is less than 24 hours notice that the tour had been cancelled. I'm lucky I even checked my email being a Friday night. It all boils down to principle. This situation, to me, was not handled appropriately.
