The balls and lanes aren't the smooth waxed ones that you find at other alleys, and somehow that adds to, rather than detracts from, the character of the place and the fun. I know from personal experience you can't be grumpy in this place. And if you're even thinking of leaning toward curmudgeon, have a cocktail at the bar and fix that situation toot suite.
Went here for a company event. It was huge fun. The game is a little different than regular bowling. Smaller balls and pins. No holes in the balls. You don't get the pin action you get in traditional bowling so scores are lower. Totally authentic retro vibe. Just awesome.
They messed up the scheduling and shorted us 30 minutes. There was 18 of us with 3 lanes which was great. But because they messed up the scheduling we didn’t get to bowl a whole game through. Very unfortunate.
Very fun old school bowling alley. Way more difficult than you'd think!
