They were a waste of my time, insurance and money. I think I should call my insurance company and let them know I feel they took there money for service they didn't do.

Been back three times for an open assessment, but I apparently can't get there early enough for their liking even though that's the buses' fault, not mine. They take people before they are even open and if you're not there the second someone shows up to open the doors, you're screwed and will never be seen. There's no way to make an appointment or even put your name in ahead of time for the next day. Nevermind the fact that I need to be evaluated so I can let my college know. If you have any other options, take them. These people obviously don't care too much about their patients. But then again, it seems like all mental health places are like this. As in they don't care unless you've tried to off yourself.

If you are commenting, be honest. Getting mental health isn't always fun or easy to do. Be fair about what you comment online. In the ratings people either rate as 5 or 0. Very black or white opinions. To be accurate your experience of Adult and Child should not be a dichotomy. It should include the good the bad and the in between.

I have been a client of Adult and Child for years. I have received restorative and professional healthcare for many years. Lori Kartch and Dr Sid have done an outstanding job. I fail to understand how all the negative comments exist. If you are reading this for the first time, please understand that not everyone is honest or accurate about their experiences with mental health facilities. Take the bad with a grain of salt.

I never actually received treatment from this place. I called to make an appointment to see doctor Benjamin May. According to the Blue Cross Blue Shield website, Doctor May practices at the Franklin office (in addition to the Indy office) so I called the Franklin number provided by Blue Cross via there website. The woman who answered the phone at Adult Child and Health was rude to me from the get go. She told me there is no such doctor that works at Adult and Child Health, which is fine, obviously Blue Cross was wrong or Dr. May used to work there but doesn't anymore or some other reason. That is understandable. What isn't understandable is the way she treated me. Like I was an idiot. She did not try to help me or offer any other suggestions and was just rude. It sucks to get treated like that. I guess it's probably a good thing I didn't go here after all considering all the 1 star reviews this place has received.

This Is ridiculous adult and child has a horrible practice of having open assessments which means you have to show up very early in the morning, And for someone who works full-time and has to be at work early in the morning that's next to Impossible. I waited two hours in a packed waiting room With crappy air conditioning, kids that were screaming, And I still was not seen for an assessment. I walked out in worse mental health then when I walked through the door. All I want to do is be responsible for my mental health, be seen and get medication and get counseling but I can't even do that because you can't be freaking seen unless you show up at 7:30 in the morning before they even Start taking people, Pack into the waiting room and wait like a bunch of laboratory rats. The way Mental Health Care practices are going with this open-enrollment b******* is ridiculous. This is not effective in my eyes and Not helpful. It seems to be Common practice now for mental health agencies to do their enrollments like this instead of offering appointments. The staff should have to go through the process and then understand what it's like for a potential client. And then you might understand what a grueling and unenjoyable process it is. So, does a person have to threaten self harm and go to inpatient to get proper care right away or what? People should not have to put up with this b*******. I don't recommend going here I recommend finding somewhere thats private practice that takes appointments for assessment if you can. Also they are notorious for breaching confidentiality.
