The room was comfortable enough for the money I paid. It was clean except for the bathroom. The bathtub was so stained that it just looked nasty. If it can’t be cleaned, it should be replaced. It would be a more appealing place to stay if someone power washed the outside of the building and the stairs. A little soap and water would go a long ways. I like that the lights come on automatically when you walk into the room especially when getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The staff was very nice.a very convenient location.
Truck stop serves awesome home cooked meals ( meatloaf, pot roast) and the pizza is great!!!
Best front desk staff ever!!! Room was very clean and although the location is next to a truck stop, very quiet.
I know this is a trucking area, but they want something nice also.
Check in was fast and very efficient. Staff was very nice and I was able to check in early which I was very appreciative of. The room key was a magnetic card which did not work very well at all. You had to wave it in front of the door many times before it actually worked.
My room was on the second floor next to the stairwell. Around 1:00 am there was much commotion in the outside hallway outside the room and in the stairwell. Adults yelling, children screaming and running up and down the hallway. This went on for about 30 minutes before the front desk was contacted. This did not remediate the situation. The commotion continued for another 1.5 hours before finally ceasing.
I understand that you purchased this motel, as it was another motel. I feel the photos were a bit deceiving as they do not dictate what the rooms actually look like after renovation. My card in the room said to dial 0 on the phone if I had any problems. After I looked, I had no phone. The phone jack was hanging out of the wall. The note above the lock on my door said to make sure I engaged the security lock, which also didn't work. Bed linens, I'm sure were old, but also very dingy, as well as the towels. I felt as though they were not clean...they could have been, but I wouldn't have known. Bath tub and shower looked as though someone cleaned their paint brushes in it, but the shower head had great power and water temp was great. I have stayed in other Motel 6 facilities for the same cost and they were way above this caliber.
I was glad to find the motel on a long trip west and it was great that when I wasn't feeling well the room I booked was available for another night, however there were many issues that would prevent me from giving a high rating. The towels in the bathroom were a dingy gray, the bathtub grout was dirty, many outlets did not work and there was not ONE single trash can in the room. The mattresses were way too firm.
