The Westin Indianapolis has great employees courteous valets, more than comfy rooms, and wonderful style. Bottled water in your rooms are free, which is appreciated because when you're staying in a hotel, you're more than likely eating out and having the water in your room is a needed clearing on your palette. Not to mention the nightly room cost should cover the +/-$0.40 for the two bottles they have in the rooms. Room design is nice and the bathrooms are spacious and brightly lit. Connected by the skywalk to the other hotels and many downtown Indy spots. Check out the gym, hot tub, and pool, as well as Shula's for your ramp up, wind down, and good meal. Gift shop has some unique finds...
Stayed twice in the span of two weeks. The people were great and very helpful. The lobby has a nice and relaxed feel with plenty of space. Rooms were clean and had enough room to move around. One stay I slept on the sleeper sofa - it wasn't the best, but I could sleep though the night. I will return when conferences are downtown.
Beautiful hotel and great place to stay if you're headed to Lucas Stadium. The 3 stars is because they ran out of food to serve hotel guests on the night of the Big 10 Championship. It is where 1 of the teams stayed, and it is an event hosted in Indianapolis every year. They managed to charge rates appropriate for the event, $400/night total which is more than $100 higher than NYE rates, but couldn't feed guests returning from the event. Unacceptable. Note: I have no issue with the rate. It was worth the convenience. The staff told us they had only lettuce left to serve.
I'd highly recommend this hotel if you want a place in downtown Indy.
Loved the location and the friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. The only drawback was the parking. The Westin does have a parking garage but they charge their guests $40/day to park! There are meters all around the block and parking is free from 7pm-6am daily and free on Sundays. Also there is a parking garage that charges $26 daily.
I was at The Westin Hotel for The Governor's Conference for People With Disabilities and it is a very nice hotel. The staff is beyond incredible, they will help in any way you need. I needed a shower bench and despite being a disability conversion they found one and brought it to my room. They were also very friendly at all times, more than willing to do anything to help. The only thing I see as a downfall to this hotel is the size of the 5 elevators, barely enough room to fit 2 power wheelchairs but they did station an employee on the lower 2 floors at peak use times to make things easier. This did help allot when needing to go from the first floor to the second or the other way around.
