It ended a bit awkwardly. I budgeted ‘X’ for Red Cheetah. And they were worth every cent. I haven’t moved in over a decade and have never in the past used professional movers. As I was paying the team lead it was mentioned that I could include a little something extra for the team. The request for a tip was not unprofessional at all – but I never knew that tipping movers was a thing. My bill was approximately $150. They were there for an hour. I then wrote a check for $40 to one of them with the direction that that individual should distribute cash to his teammates. That’s when I got the impression that $10 each (for one hour of work) wasn’t enough. But I never even knew I was supposed to tip. So, it just felt very awkward and uncomfortable. At $40 I was giving them a more than 25% tip. Is that not enough? Had I given them an $80 tip that would have raised the cost of my moving by over 50%.

So, live and learn I suppose. They did a wonderful job. And they were flexible when we screwed up their timeline. Going forward, if I had to move again, I think I would ask the company what their expectations are concerning gratuities so I can budget appropriately. Importantly, I would have NO PROBLEM hiring this company again.

They were the BEST!!! Called them to have them move some furniture upstairs in my house since I was rearranging furniture. They came in 20 minutes, helped me move, and were so polite. It was a great experience. So thankful for them, and so was my husband. He didn't have to move furniture when he got home from work.

I worked with Red Cheetah to load a POD I had delivered. They gave me a service window of 12-3. They called several times informing me of the delay and keeping me posted on the pushed back service window. They finally rolled up to my house at 9:30PM. They did do the right thing and call me to apologize profusely and to inform me that they were going to do the move for free. FANTASTIC! Talk about changing my mind about them instantly. Then the move began. It was dark out and a three person team started working furiously. They are moving professionals, so I gave them space to do their thing. However, when they finally said they were done... I went to check on the POD, and a large amount of things were not in the POD. They said that it's a POD, and there is no way to load everything I had in there. They finally left at 11:30PM... My dad and I went back to check it in the morning (Race Day). When we opened the pod, we finally saw the work that had been done. Loose sheets of paper thrown on things, solid work stacked loosely on other solid wood, items thrown over other items just to get it in there, the entire back of the pod very lightly loaded with a ton at the front (one acceleration, and everything would have flown towards the back)... It was such a horrible job, my dad and I had to spend the day completely unloading the POD, and packing it back up again just to make sure the items they actually did get in there weren't completely destroyed. After repacking the POD, every thing that was left out by the movers, fit in fine. Even with the move being completely free... We still would have been better off doing it all by ourselves.

However…

We used Red Cheetah last month and had a near-perfect experience that ended uncomfortably awkward.

We hired Red Cheetah based on reviews from multiple sources. The team definitely lived up to expectations. And we threw into the scenario a very big wrench. We needed to, at the last minute, change their time to come. They acquiesced and arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday. I think we were the last job of the day. Four movers arrived and had the job done in an hour. There was one large gouge in our closet and we were told that someone would be in touch. (More than three weeks later no one has been.)

Great job, timely, professional and polite. My wife and I were very happy and will use them again.

We had THE BEST experience moving with Red Cheetah Moving. We originally had booked with another moving company for an Indianapolis to Chicago move, however those movers failed to show up on our contracted moving date. During a last minute panic, I requested a quote from Red Cheetah Moving and they were able to arrange a next day, same day move for us. Frank was great at answering all our questions before the move. The movers (Kenny, Steve, and Shamori) arrived around 8am on the morning of our move and took around 2 hours to load up our 1.5 bedroom apartment. They quickly drove to Chicago and delivered all of our items. The movers were efficient, courteous, and did a great job. The whole move was seamless and we couldn't be happier. We would definitely recommend Red Cheetah Moving for reliable and professional moving needs!

The team was kind, professional and other than this one big gouge in my closet, near perfect.
