A place that's... A park. Nothing else really. The conservatory is a separate containment on it's own so it's not included here... But it always seems a. Bit rundown over the winters and there is usually some trash here and there. Honestly though the area is still good for tennis of you like that or a decent still. (For pokemon go players there is almost always a rare nest in the southwest corner).
Such a hidden jem in Indy. It's great to go from ,-5° outside during the winter to a tropical paradise. With a $2 admission, it's a cost effective way to get the kids out of the house for a while and relieve some winter blues.
Visited for a Black Breastfeeding Coalition event. The park is was actually way nicer than I thought it was be. It was pretty clean and there were lots of different events going on. The different table areas need to have better signs and directions, we were pretty lost driving around the park for at least 20 minutes or more. Looked like the pool was broken down! Such a nice looking pool...too nice for it not to have been in operation!
A great place for the whole family. There are indoor and outdoor activities, depending on the time of year. It feels quite safe as well.
It's not in the best area but not in the worst either. It's beautiful and a nice place to just unwind. If you're with the kids, it's a perfect place to let them release their energy. This park has a lot to offer. I enjoy spending time here. To meditate, hug tree's and be in a country type setting in the heart of Indianapolis. Close to the ever growing Fountain Square area.
