Partially hydrogenated vegetable oils are trans fats (think crisco). This form of fat is very cheap and is convenient for baking because it makes for a nice texture in the final product. While it is very easy for the body to store, it is extremely difficult for the body to get rid of. These fats are also known to increase risk of heart disease more than all other fats. That is why several states in trying to curb the obesity epidemic, have banned the use of these fats. Any vet will tell you that obesity is not good for your dog.

The dogs loved the cheese sticks.

Purchased dog tags and dog treats here. Could not be any happier.

Amazing every time. My puppo could not be happier with their treats

Great selection, customer service, and prices. Found a quiet spot pet tag silencer for less $ than amazon.

All that said, they do deserve credit for listing all ingredients and nutritional information for their baked items.

Sugars , no matter the form ( cane juice is still sugar, and honey is also primarily sugar), accelerate poor oral hygiene in dogs and humans alike. I don't know about you, but I don't love having to have my dog sedated for teeth cleaning more often (or paying for it).

The employees were quick to praise their products as being "great for your dog" and "totally healthy" made from "human grade ingredients". Let me remind you that there are many natural and processed foods that are " human grade" you should never give your dog ...or yourself in some cases.

Now I know what you are saying to yourself, this guy is just a freak that probably tries to make his dog a vegetarian or something. You wouldn't be more wrong. I came in here to get my dog something special. Junk food is fine once in a while and it was her birthday. But i do not want to give her ingredients that are frankly bad for her. The cheese sticks were about the only item in the bakery section I felt comfortable giving my dogs.

Great variety of treats and toys, including fresh baked treats. Friendly staff. Great hidden gem we found while having lunch in Indy on our way to Ohio.

Your dogs do not need sugar, cane juice, honey, and worst of all, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, aka trans fat.

The store carries other great products like bully sticks, antler chews, toys, etc. I was able to find some great treats that were sourced and made in the USA. For this alone I recommend the shop. I do recommend avoiding their baked goods containing partially hydrogenated oils, which were in most of their products.
