They took amazing care of my sick kitten. They answered every single question, and had updates every time I called. They got my kitten back to great health, and I couldn’t be more thankful!!
I went in because my cat wasn't feeling very good. Was throwing up and not eating. I suspected it was stress induced because of a new cat I had gotten, along with some constipation problems my cat has been prone to in the past. However, my normal vet recommended I go to emergency care to be seen quicker.
The only reason I even want to give this place a 1 star is because the wait time was short compared to my past experiences at other emergency hospitals. Not to mention all the vet technicians I had were amazing. Super supportive, very friendly, and made my time there tolerable. I will, however, not be going back here in the future.
We were in on Christmas Eve and they had us come back on Christmas Day to check on our dog. All staff was very nice and vet was great with our dog. Prices seemed a little steep but it was the only option on a holiday.
I spent the next 2 days heavily watching over my cat. I put her on an expensive diet, made sure I was grooming her twice a day to remove any chance of growing the hairball, and gave her hairball gel to move things along in her GI track. Never once did she expel a hairball.
The vet from the start just didn't have much bedside manner to myself or my cat. Didn't seem like she was super interested in my case. She took an x-ray and suspected that my cat had a hairball blocking her stomach and that she needed to go into surgery within the next day. It was a bit hard to believe, considering my cat wasn't experiencing the signs of having a hairball stuck. I asked her what type of diet she should be on and she was more or less "she probably shouldn't eat, just in case she goes into surgery tomorrow." I was 100% not comfortable with this, so she gave my cat some anti-nausea medications and sub-cu fluids, and I was charged 450 bucks for the entire visit...which is ridiculously expensive for something so simple.
The vet finally called me two days later to tell me that she was wrong. That another person had looked at the x-ray and said that the stomach was actually empty (go figure, she hadn't eaten in several days) and that the intestines were inflamed from, you guessed it, stress. The thought of knowing that my cat could have gone into a 2,000 dollar surgery for no reason made me feel sick.
This group of professionals are the BEST!! They were very compassionate and caring with us during a very trying time. Thank you so much for everything.
I was there due to two dogs eating rat poison while visiting family. From the start to finish and everything in the middle, the staff was AMAZING! Bonnie was both sweet and caring on the phone and in person. Megan did a wonderful job with my pups and answering my many questions. And Dr. Grabow had a wonderful 'bedside' manner, being personal and professional at the same time. If you find yourself in a pickle and need an ER service for your pets, this is the place to go.
