I will absolutely shop at Hubler again. Ronnie, my salesman, was very professional and helpful throughout the buying process. His efforts to go above and beyond to find the right truck for me allowed me to get exactly what I wanted in the truck. His efforts to provide outstanding service allowed for an excellent buying experience. I would absolutely buy another vehicle from this dealership, especially from Ronnie.
I took my Traverse in for warranty work about a month ago for transmission and AC issues. The service department allegedly fixed both issues. About a week and half after I picked up my Traverse, the hissing noise from the AC started again (exact same thing it did prior to it going out before). I notified the dealership service department via email and they told me to bring it back in. I brought the Traverse back in, and after 5 days I picked it back up again. I was told I had to pay another deductible, because allegedly it was different parts. I didn’t agree with this and the manager agreed to cover half the deductible. I left the dealership and headed towards home. I didn’t get two miles and the engine message popped on my screen saying my engine was overheating and it was shutting the AC down. I pulled over on the side of 465 and turned off my vehicle. I called the service department and explained to Chris the situation and he told me he would send someone for my vehicle and to pick up my baby and myself. We waited on the side of the interstate, in 90* weather with the road side assistance (state farm) until they sent someone to get us. Ernie was the gentlemen that picked us up and he was very apologetic. He stated he was very glad nothing happened to us, as someone had been hit from their dealership recently on the side of the interstate. I was also appreciative that he decided not to wait on the mechanic technician, who was on his lunch break, to come and get us. Chris assigned us another rental car and we went home. Tory contacted us later that evening and stated that the tech didn’t get all the air out of the coolant line and a bubble hit the thermostat, which is why I got the read out on my screen. I asked if my motor could be damaged because of this, and she told me I would have had to have driven around for at least two hours before damage would occur. I received a call that night from Chris stating the there was an air bubble and that was the issue. I asked if it was possible that the tech didn’t put coolant back in the system and he said most likely not. He stated that they fixed it and test drove it for 25 miles (didn’t replace gas) and that they were confident it was fine. I asked him as well, if my motor could be damaged because of this and he said “no, because it was a newer car and there were mechanisms in place for that not to happen..as in the engine would shut itself down.” My engine didn’t shut itself down, I did. The paperwork they provided documented stated that “the owner stated that the vehicle was overheating and the customer had just picked it up from AC service. It was found to have no coolant in the system.” We asked Chris go back and fix this wording, as it didn’t properly reflect what happened. He asked us to wait because he had to have the service manager come talk to us and he was the one who would have to fix the paperwork. We waited 15-20 minutes for this service manager to come and talk to us and he never did. The revised paperwork was completed by Chris and it stated that “the owner stated that the vehicle was overheating and the customer had just picked it up from AC service. It was found to have no coolant in the system due to tech error. They replaced the coolant and test drove the vehicle.” I am very concerned they have permanently damaged my vehicle I bought from the dealership a little over a year ago.
Edit: Well it's been little more than a year and a half. I have only put less than 40 thousand miles on my car and I start having engine problems. So I take my car to get it looked at and I'm told my warranty which is supposed to be 2 years 100 thousand miles. Has expired due to miles. I bought this car with little over 61 thousand miles on it. So in reality they didn't give me 2 years 100 thousand but 2 years and less than 39 thousand miles. I asked them multiple times if it was 100 thousand from now and they said yes. So they lied to me and now since my car is setting at 100381 miles. I now have to pay thousands of dollars to get my car fixed. Don't buy a car from here. They will lie to you just so they can get a sale.
Our salesman Nick was really helpful and super responsive to all our questions and requests. He was laid back; we didn't feel any pressure like at most dealers. And he helped us find just what we were looking for. We love our Equinox! If you go to Hubler, I definitely recommend asking for Nick!
Ted was great to work with. I have purchased many vehicles throughout my life at other dealers and have never had as good of experience as I did working with Ted. For the first time I felt he was on my side and listened to my thoughts instead of the typical of 'just trying to make the sale.' Delivery was also very smooth and efficient which means a lot when having two youngsters along for the ride! A+++
Great customer service and very helpful. If you go there ask to speak with Darius Dunn, he is a great salesman and will help you how ever he can.
