"Scheduling" is a joke. Two hour waits are so common that you must expect them and count yourself lucky if you get out in under 3 hours.
Wow! I wish I had seen all these reviews before going. They're true.
I have an implant in my back that was put in at this place. They are so understaffed that it took weeks for someone to even call me to even the schedule surgery. You are told to expect to wait for 2 hours for your appointment every time! I'm supposed to have a follow up, but can't get anyone to call back so I can make an appointment. I'm now having problems with my implant, but can't get help because no one will call back. I'm going to have to contact the manufacturer to see who else can help with my implant. Don't ever go here because you can't reach them if you need their help!!
I've been seeing doctor Dr.Bush for about 3 1/2 years now and she is hands down the best doctor I've ever seen. Since day one her goal was to help me with my condition. Shes never rushed, Dr. Bush comes in and treats me like a person and I feel like she truly cares about me. She's truly a genuine doctor that cares about her patients, I just love her!! I recommended her all the time to anyone that needs a pain doctor.
That said: I believe that Natalie Prater would sincerely like to help people--but management is so very poor at this facility I can't imagine that she'll ever get the chance.
The phone system is even worse (by far) than being there. Not only is it not possible to get to a person on the phone (even if you've been lucky/cagey enough to score someone's extension), but I've complained to staff who have admitted that they too have trouble when they call in.
What is the use of getting a prescription for a procedure only to be left in pain for so many months?!
UPDATE: They FINALLY got me in for the Ketamine infusions I was prescribed nearly a year ago. I must say: the nurses were very caring and helpful, so I've bumped my one-star rating up to a three--but I still wouldn't recommend this place.
I have been Dr. Kowlowitz's patient for over 15 years and have also seen Sandra Dolny, a Certified Physician Assistant, on a monthly basis for many years. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to Dr. Kowlowitz and Sandy for my pain management care over the years. I don't know how I would have coped without them. I am treated with respect, understanding and professionalism. Such has also been the case with all the medical personnel and office staff at the center, as well as in the Surgery Center. If patients are honest, respectful and cooperative with the treatment options provided and give continuous feedback on the results, a positive outcome with their pain relief will be achieved. I would not have been a patient here for as long as I have if I wasn't being helped.
As someone who has suffered with back pain for a long time, I really appreciate the team @ Center for Pain Management. They do NOT push medication, they sincerely try to find & treat the root cause of the pain. Doing things "right" takes TIME so I understand that people don't like to wait for appointments (neither do I) but I assure you, the folks @ Center for Pain know what they're doing - and they do it right!
