I'm currently in remission and my daughter is doing great thanks to this place!

I was born here. My child was born here. Both my mother and me fought cancer here. This is a top notch hospital and everyone is kind and considerate and so far everyone has done their job right. They told me what meds they were giving me before they did, they managed my pain well.

Terrible patient care!! A lot of the doctors and nurses that work in this facility don’t care about patients well being! I’m absolutely horrified about anyone being under their care. For example (true story): When a patient goes to the ER multiple times with horrible stomach pains and all the doctor-doctors do is say “you have gastritis, you need to get on a healthier diet and take these medications” and don’t run any tests but weeks later patient goes to another hospital that’s not St Vincent’s and they do the proper tests and finds out it’s stomach cancer. Yes never again would I recommend this hospital to anyone until faculty can better their patient care.

The only complaint I had was the food. It sucked. I would be very happy to help them. I have been in the restaurant business all my life, except for the 10 and a half years I worked for a Congressman. I would put my life in their hands.

Spent four days there and I'm a guy who's spent lots of time in hospitals. 15 major surgeries. Was here from NY state visiting my daughter when I had an issue.

Billing services recently changed, I saw in the news. (Outsourced by Ascension) No notification of changes to the patients. Beware, without notification to its customers, they now charge your cc "on file" (again no notification that this is now "on file") that you paid a co-pay with for your entire balance PRIOR to receiving an EOB or the actual bill!!! Integrity is a core value for St. V. and they are losing their own core values. Disappointed because the associates are so passionate and caring. I hope for them the big wigs some day catch on to what they are doing.

They even hooked me up with a patient advocate when I couldn't pay and got me signed up for hip as well as assistance from the hospital itself. They also offered a cancer research program that reemberses me for participating!

Not once was there an issue.

Every person I came in contact with was extremely accommodating.

I have a lot of trouble believing that anyone could have a negative experience here.

Was having stomach issues and back pain, yes I'm a diabetic so I try to stay cautious. Went into the er they did good at getting me back soon but they put me in a bed in the hallway and said as soon as a room was available they would wheel me in. They drew blood, gave me fluids, Tylenol and nausea medication and said try to rest and see if the pain goes away. I'm laying in the hallway it's busy people are walking back and fourth, there's a cca room in front of me and a room behind me. I cover myself up, someone walked by and pushed me which woke me up. I'm just sitting in pain four hours later the nurse ask how I'm feeling, still in pain, she said she would be back with more fluids and maybe insulin because my sugar was a little high, and also heart rate elevated so they didn't want me to leave yet. While still sitting in the hallway an hr goes by nothing. I tell a doctor walking by I have to use the restroom he says I will find your nurse , about thirty mins went by, I had to unhook my iv and go to the restroom. Told them I was ready to go they said they would get my paper work together, another hour goes by and nothing. I go put my clothes on and I'm about to leave, security comes out and the on charge nurse because of course i still had my iv in my arm. To make a long story short they took out the iv, brought my paper work, I went to eskanazi they ran test and I had a stomach virus. No where in my paper work from St. Vincent said anything about a stomach virus. Never in my life have I been treated like this.
