The first individual I worked with for this agent was helpful and she was very willing to answer my questions. After having to deal with Ross himself, my experience changed completely. He was unwilling to help and any questions posed to him regarding my policy was seen as an annoyance. I never felt more like an unappreciated client/customer than with Ross. I had to add a vehicle and had issues with billing, but he was unable to answer my questions regarding the issue and gave me no promise of finding out the answer to my problem. I checked in to see what the status was, and his response was basically, "I'll get back to you when I can, stop emailing/calling to check." I called another agency (Jeff Kolp) and their office was more than helpful to figure out the billing fiasco for me, even though I was not their customer. No surprise I switched over immediately. Ross will not let you know when he's on vacation to make sure you can get in contact with someone else at his office to get your question resolved in a timely manner. I sent an email to him and did not receive an automated "out-of-office" reply, so, already having been pushed away when asking for the status, I waited more than a week, giving him the benefit of the doubt he was resolving my issue. I sent him an email after a week and got an out-of-office reply where the date he would be back had already passed (eg. sent email on 30th, but email says he's out until 28th). No effort was made to resolve my issue, or to contact me regarding the issue to ensure it was looked into. When I requested to switch, Ross happily gave me away and did not attempt to ask why I was leaving his agency in order to improve his office's work, even though he claims he always tries to reach out to remedy issues prior to transferring. I had to call the new agency to complete the transfer - new agency would tell me Ross's office would call me back shortly, which no call back was EVER received.
Ross has been great at helping me with my home, auto, and rental property insurance. Since insurance is so opaque, it is difficult to tell when it what when shopping for a quote. After meeting with him and going through everything in detail, I was able to save over $1k a year on one of my properties because of his knowledge. The customer service is great as well.
