Don't take a sick dog to this place, he'll tell it that it's smart enough to have an IQ above 135 so that must mean it has spastic colon.
Fast forward to a week down the road since I got meds that I've been taking per his direction, nothing has changed at all.. I'm even starting to get concerned due to other symptoms. I return a call to the office... PER THE RECEPTIONISTS INSTRUCTIONS! I have to add that because Dr. Frederick at no point said to call him back or ask anything of him in addition to my initial visit. I'm told I'll get a call back from Frederick soon.
He is absent from me when I'm there. Doesn't seem interested in helping me. Dismissive to my concerns. Needing a new dr now because major issues because this was ignored.
I waited, and then eventually he did call me. I called him out on not listening to me during the initial visit (He replied well I'm listening now). I explained that the medicine he asserted was necessary doesn't help in the slightest and that I have new symptoms A,and B. I explain that symptom A and B could mean that I have something more like this or that.. and he agrees saying why yes that does sound like it could be that and I recommend you call your primary doctor to get an endoscopy done to look into that.
Hold up. Hold up. Hold up.
Dr. Frederick asked me 'What brings you here young man' and then less than halfway through my first couple sentences he cuts me off, starts telling me that I have 'Spastic Colon', that simply must be it. All the tests coming back negative means I have spastic colon he can't fathom why anyone hasn't treated me for it.. gives me a million more reasons why that must be it.. gives me meds.
I will never ever go through "Indiana Gastroenterology" again. The office looks nice inside, but the doctors themselves are incapable. I should have known when he started telling me that my IQ and my abdominal pain coincide with one another that this doctor was just full of it.
THIS IS A SPECIALIST. YOU COME TO A SPECIALIST WHEN YOUR PRIMARY DOCTOR HAS EXHAUSTED ALL OPTIONS OF TESTING AND DIAGNOSIS TO THEIR KNOWLEDGE. FROM THE POINT THAT YOU SEE THE SPECIALIST ON, YOU'RE NOW THEIR PATIENT! EVEN MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR AGREES THAT IF ANYTHING NEEDS SCHEDULED IT SHOULD BE THROUGH MY SPECIALISTS OFFICE!
