I went to Dr. chekilla(I believe that's how you spell it). And I've never been more disappointed with a whole doctor's office, like I have with this one. The staff is awful. Not friendly. The doctor just seems like she has better things to do, and the staff likes to call at 5:30 and ask you to give them a call back about a prescription refill they just did for me. So when I call back not even 10 minutes later, they were closed. I will never go back here. And I would not recommend anyone going here.
This is such a far cry from the revolving door of mentally unstable med asst as the front face of Robert and Rod Robinson's Family practice on Southport Rd. Robert was my prime doctor for more than a decade.
Leave them. Find a community physician, make your life easier and get better medical care.
Patient of Dr. Zhu, he is a fantastic doctor and his the nurses are great. Everything else is horrendous, cannot rely on the staff at all. I have had numerous experiences of messages not being passed on when you are calling for days. Every doctor I have been to will call back or get s RX filled that day when you call first thing in the morning especially if it is something that you cannot stop taking, not Southpointe. I feel bad for the doctors there and am already looking for a new doctor after multiple experiences like this.
I went here for the first time today not having seen a primary care physician in a long time. The reception staff was wonderful and took the time to answer all my questions. I saw Tomeika White NP and she was amazing. She was fun and making me laugh while still answering all of my questions and explaining why she thought I was feeling the way that I was. She made sure to cover all bases and be thorough in her diagnoses and prescriptions. I will be coming back!
Compared to Franciscan providers, all specialities, which I used for decades, Community Physicians, and Dr Zhu are by far the better group.
Zhu is an interesting character, and he listens and is honest. The nurses actually answer calls. I didn't know how to deal with this new, improved level of care.
