Mainly come here because it's the only hardware store near us aside from Sullivan's. If they have things in stock the pricing is reasonable.
What started out as a great experience getting some major appliances ended in my decision to never visit the store again. This was my Lowe's store, btw, until yesterday. I moved about five miles recently and still went to this store. I have an old friend who works there. I felt a loyalty to this location versus others. Just to let you know that this decision was not made impulsively.
Couldn't find a single helpful employee. Clerks at paint counter had no idea how to tint, then spilled a large amount. Manager marked the price down, but when we tried cashing out, the cashier couldn't apply the discount. She and the other cashier called customer service twice and got no answer. Second cashier at one point said "This is bulls***, I'm about to take off this f***ing apron, grab the safe, and walk out of here."
The staff members who work in the appliance department were great, especially Evert. He was genial and helpful, went out of his way to get the job done. I got very good deals as they are having Black Friday all month long (November 2017). The issues started with the women at the customer service desk.
They have a thirty day satisfaction guarantee. Meaningless.
Now, isn't it the job of the people at the actual customer service desk to practice good customer service, if not great? Obviously, at this location, the customer service specialists have a chip on their shoulders when it comes to certain customers.
Not one, but two of these women decided to get an attitude about both a return and a price match. One staff member actually ignored me for the entire transaction to price match, just didn't speak to me and handed me my receipt. The other specifically told me that they could not refund my purchase even with a receipt. She said that all that I could get is a store credit.
Called to see if they had something in stock that the other Lowes didn't have. I put them on speaker phone for 1 hour and 47 minutes. Just to see if anyone would help me. I had to plug my phone in the wall for a charge it took so long. I got no answer. Set on hold with the oh so glorious hold tunes. Thanks Lowes. Allstar employees.
We love this lowes! We know a lot of the employees and they are super helpful! They’re always willing to assist us when we need help. They have really great deals and very centrally located.
I will not go back to the store and am more than a little tempted to return my $900 worth of appliances.
