I've dealt with SSA on three previous occasions and each time I was pleasantly surprised with the efficiency and kindness I experienced. Today was no different; I was in and out in 30 minutes, greeted with a big smile and treated with respect. Nice job, west side SSA office!
I went here when my mother passed away. Since I would be taking care of my younger sistet we applied for survivor benefits. Already dealing with a difficult time.. They were really rude at the front. The black woman I spoke to was horrible and so was the man. My mother had passed away a week before and they told me I needed to mentally remember my sisters social security number. They gave me a hard time about that. The securitt guard was nice and so was the woman I had my interview with.
Staff was courteous, professional and quite thorough with the information I needed. They answered all questions and explained what I would paperwork I would need at the next visit. I arrived at 10 AM and was out at 10:15 AM. Great!
Checking in was super easy kiosk style. The wait time was minimal and the people were friendly and helpful. All government agencies should operate this way.
