When I moved into my new home south of Indianapolis I inherited a pond. While the fish and plants were still alive, the rest of the pond was in poor condition. I found Cool Ponds through a Google search and they have been great!
I have been to the store or called on several occasions and every time they have freely offered advice for whatever problem or issue I have had. My pond went from unattractive, with water so green that you could only see the fish if they were in the first couple of inches of water, to the centerpiece of my backyard.
If you have a pond this is the place to go to! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff! Just wish they had Sunday hours. Thanks for all your help today!
Customer service at Cool Ponds gets a big FAT ZERO. I called today and asked them to hold two water lillies for 24 hours. I was told that they would not because they might sell them. I told them that they just did. Way to go above and beyond for your customers Cool Ponds
We are DIYers. When we decided to do some major landscaping in 2009, including installing a pond, we went in search of a local store where we could purchase supplies and get inspiration - Cool Ponds met our needs. They are fantastic to bounce ideas off of and just to wander through their pond displays - so beautiful! If you need advice, all you have to do is ask. We had such a great experience with our first pond, that we decided to add a second larger pond! Great place, great people. So glad we found Cool Ponds.
My personal experience with Cool Ponds extends to attempting to get an estimate to have my pond renovated. The initial time that I contacted them it was nearly two weeks until I received a response from Steven. This should have been a signal to me to shop elsewhere, but I ignored it. I went to their store, checked out their ponds and went back home with a lot to think about. A couple of weeks later I brought my wife in to look at what they had and we decided to get back in touch with Steven and get an estimate on what it would really cost to complete our job. I sent an email to Steven on April 25, which I have still not received a response from (today is May 24). After two weeks I got tired of waiting on Cool Ponds so I found a different company to renovate my pond, got them to come to my house and do the estimate, provide written estimate, revise written estimate, and complete the renovations - all in just under two weeks and again I still haven't heard a word from Cool Ponds. I can't speak well of a company who apparently is so busy that they need to be chased by the customer in order for me to pay them to perform a service; I believe it's supposed to be the other way around. Further, I regard terrible customer service and response time PRIOR to the expenditure of my money as a solid indicator of what their customer service and response time will be AFTER I have paid and the company has nothing left to gain from me. I would never purchase anything else from them (I did buy some chemicals from them last month) nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Maybe they do good work, but their customer service is substandard at best.
I have also driven to the store to attend their seminars which have been helpful and fun. Without the assistance of Cool Ponds I would probably have disassembled and filled in the pond that came with the home. Now I enjoy it daily. Thank you Steve, Staci and staff!
