Very interesting place. It seems like it is stuck in the early days of the internet as they have a switch on the wall that turns off the phone and turns on the internet connection for their card reader. No computers so they cannot receive info via email. All that being said...they do have good customer service and low rates. 100 free miles per day.
Have not rented from them but did find it very displeasing that the deposit is 300 down no matter how long you need the car some ppl just need a car a day or two to do basic things or a ride to be able to make more money by working guess i wont get to use your service due to funds
I called reliable on 9/18/2017, spoke with a gentleman who stated if I had major credit card (not debit or prepaid) then all I had to pay was $129.00 for a weekly rental no $300 deposit. When I planned on getting the rental today on 9/21/2017, I called to confirm and was told by a lady that the $300 deposit was required on all rentals regardless of credit or debit cards I just didn't need to bring a pay stub or utility billed. Conflicting information caused a big inconvenience because I could've went elsewhere with a major credit card and not pay a deposit but they were closed.
Not as good as it sounds, if traveling out of state. Woman who answered the phone was not very professional, and seemed "bothered" by my questions. We will not be using this rental company.
Family owned & operated business has a nice selection of well maintained used cars & vans for rent. Reliable takes all major credit cards, but it's easy to qualify for a cash rental even if your credit is less than perfect. If you're looking for a good value, this is it.
